Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is officially a full month into its lifespan, and the developers at Sledgehammer Games are celebrating with an enormous content patch. Lag fixes, balancing, better anti-cheat measures and much more are coming this week to PS4 and Xbox One players.
A lot of this new update focuses on rebalancing the game, whether through patching up exploits, discouraging cheap strategies or just readjusting damage numbers for various weapons. For example, in the Uplink competitive gameplay mode, players will no longer be able to pass the Satellite Drone across an entire map. In Capture the Flag, players will now be less likely to spawn near their own flag. Individual weapons are also being balanced, with weapons like the Bal27 and HBRa3 getting nerfed and weapons like the MP11 and EPM3 getting little boosts to make them more competitively viable.
The rest of the fixes presented in the patch range in function from better prevention of cheating to squashing a whole nest of bugs to cracking down on obscene player emblems. The full patch notes can be found here if you want to wade through the lengthy list of updates.

The new patch will be rolling out this week to next-gen console players. The developers at Sledgehammer say that similar changes will be coming to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 players "soon," though no schedule any more specific than that is given.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
