This morning, fans of Frank Underwood from House of Cards fame were treated to a surprise. The official twitter first teased a big announcement and then released a very short video indicating that the cut throat political drama would be returning for a third season on February 27, 2015- full of deception, intrigue and breaking of the Fourth Wall.
The Walking Dead Breaks Hearts in Mid Season Finale
House of Cards is a Netflix Original show based on the British political drama of the same name. The American adaptation is less parliament and more Capital Hill though. Plus there's 100% more Kevin Spacy as Frank Underwood, the southern Democrat who very much smiles to your face while overseeing a complex plot to ensure that you are stabbed in your back. The first season premiered on February 1, 2013 and ran for 13 episodes. The second season came out on Valentine's Day 2014, because nothing says I love you quite like murder and marital infidelity.
Game of Thrones Teases at Arya's Path in New Trailer
When we last left our "hero", he had managed to outfox his way into the big chair at the White House.
Through a crazy series of plot twists, Frank Underwood forced the President's resignation and is sworn in as the new Head of State. The teaser doesn't reveal much other than that the show is coming back and it looks like he's still President, at least when it begins. But Frank has made a lot of enemies in his time and any one of them could be gunning for the man on top. Perhaps literally.
Fans will have to wait until February 27 to find out if he gets his, or if he comes out on top in typical Frank fashion.
