Julian Gollop, the designer behind the original X-COM game, will be releasing his latest game – the turn-based, multiplayer RPG Chaos Reborn – on Steam Early Access starting December 9.
This War Of Mine Made Back Its Development Costs In Just Two Days Of Sales
In Chaos Reborn, between two and four players can don their wizard robes and face off with a magical arsenal filled with spells like Gooey Blob and Shadow Wood. Though the developers at Snapshot Games have plans to include single player RPG elements to the game, the game is currently listed only as a multiplayer game.
Currently, the game supports full competitive multiplayer and two-on-two co-op battles. Chaos Reborn lets players set up "live" matches, where players each have only a couple of minutes to make their move, but games can also be "asynchronous." In asynchronous matches, players don't have to be online at the same time. They can make their moves over periods of hours or even days, with matches having a slower pace but requiring less commitment from each player.

Chaos Reborn made its first public appearance in a successful Kickstarter campaign early this year, and it's now ready to hit the Steam audience as it enters its final few months of development. The game is currently scheduled for a full release in summer 2015, giving the developers an estimated seven more months of adding in new features and polishing up what's already there.
Chaos Reborn will launch for PC, Mac and Linux, and it will support cross-platform play for friend groups that have differing tastes in operating systems.
