It has been quite a day for Square Enix already, but the hits keep a-coming. Next up on the plate is a new trailer for the highly anticipated Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.
Square Enix Announces Heavenstrike Rivals, A New F2P Strategy RPG For Mobile Devices
The new trailer plays out like a sort of propaganda piece from the Milites Empire, one of the four factions struggling for dominance in the game. In it, the leader of the Milities, Marhsall Cid (and ultimate bad guy in the game) speaks in a brusque, harsh manner evincing the feel of an old World War II dictator. The trailer's narrator speaks plainly, to the point, as if he were narrating a Ken Burns film on the great Orience war.
It's not all ridiculous monsters and demi-gods descending to earth. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, a remake of the 2011 PSP title, is a far more modern and gritty direction for the franchise to take. It is inspired by the war documentaries of old. One hopes that it does not get swallowed in all the noise of Final Fantasy XV, which is also due out next year.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be out here in the States on March 17, 2015. Players who pick it up will also gain access to the first demo of Final Fantasy XV, titled Episode Duscae. Be sure to pick it up quick, as the offer is valid only for a short time while supplies last.
