Gaming peripheral company Razer doesn't just make the gear the world's top players use to win, they bankroll them. They've also gotten into the business of movies. The company will be debuting a new three part documentary titled Team Razer: Great Games at DreamHack Winter in Sweden this year.

Starcraft II, League of Legends and Dota 2 are the modern battlefields, and Razer has been on the front lines since the beginning. They even sponsor their own team who are the stars of the documentary. Team Razer represents some of the cream of the crop in the eSports world, young men who are at the forefront of digital gaming.

"We pioneered eSports in the early days by supporting budding professional athletes and we helped grow some of the largest tournaments around at the time - we still continue to accomplish that today in a way few others can. With 'Great Games' we wanted to showcase the rise of eSports in a way that inveterate and new gamers alike may enjoy, and it provides an exciting glimpse into the lives of some of the world's most talented eSports professionals that call Team Razer their home."

"Great Game" is one of the definitions of 'gg', the standard sign of surrender in nearly all eSports games. The other being the more common 'good game'.Players send the message when they know there is no hope left. It is a sign of respect.
Each half hour documentary will follow the Razer players who specialize in each of the games. The first episode serves as an introduction into the world of eSports with Starcraft back in the early days of the sport and on up to its recent incarnation in Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm. It will focus on the modern titans of the sporting world, highlighting the bitter rivalry between its early stars, Jaedong and Flash.
It then moves onto the new upstart in eSports: MOBAS, with each subsequent episode devoted to LoL and Dota 2, respectively. Each episode is directed by Travis "Samox" Beauchamp, who
DreamHack Winter begins today, November 27 and runs until November 30. This will mark the 20th anniversary of the festival and they will pull out all the stops. Plane tickets are hard to come by, but you can still catch all the action at the official site.
