Sol Badguy returns today on the PS4 as part of the demo version of Guilty Gear Xrd - SIGN - the latest in the long line of Guilty Gear fighting games. This marks the first time the series has come to PS4, and what an impression it will leave.
Green Man Gaming's Black Friday Sales Need Five Days To Cover Them All
The game is available for PlayStation Plus members only as a free download. So, what are you getting in this fancy arcade fighter? The demo comes with the storylines to two characters, main protagonist Badguy and his rival, Ky Kyske (ki-skay).
The official announcement expands the description. "Also available is the very extensive Training Mode! Take control of Sol Badguy and learn everything from basic moves to advanced combos and skills."
Sony Now Fully Behind PS Plus Because People Like Using It
Guilty Gear Xrd - Sign - takes the traditional 2D style of previous titles and mixes it with an advanced 3D look. What ends up happening is that "what you're playing is a 3D "drawn" game made to look and feel 2D." This allows the game's camera to move not just back and forth, but also around the characters. For instance, when you pull off a special attack, the camera will zip around you, perhaps 360 degrees, and get nice and close so you can see every detail of the pain you're about to bring down.
The demo is available from now until December 8. The full retail version will be on sale in stores and online for both PS4 and PS3 on December 16. Players can purchase a standard edition and a limited edition that includes an art book, CD, specialized box and keychain.
