Shovel Knight, the indie throwback to classic platformers, is releasing a new theme for the Nintendo 3DS, and it'll be launching worldwide starting November 27.

Earlier this month, developer Yacht Club Games worked with Nintendo of Europe to release a special Shovel Knight 3DS theme for European and Australian fans. Now, Yacht Club is bringing the party worldwide with the release of a new theme that will be available for all.
Though pricing was not announced on Yacht Club's website announcement, we do know that the theme will hit the Theme Shop on November 27.
Minecraft's 1.8.1 Update Is Now Live
One of the latest 3DS system updates added in support for themes so players could better customize how their handheld looked when they booted up the home screen. These themes change the 3DS home screen's wallpaper, icons and, oftentimes, music. The themes are usually based on successful 3DS characters, but they can also just be simple patterns.
For the upcoming Shovel Knight 3DS theme, the shovel-wielding hero himself will appear on the system's top screen, while the icons on the bottom screen look to have dirt blocks as backgrounds. The European-exclusive theme from earlier this month included its own version of Shovel Knight's main theme playing as ambient music whenever the 3DS home screen was brought up, and it's likely that this upcoming theme will feature the same thing.
