Developer ATLUS hosted a live stream event earlier today in which they revealed not one, but two new titles into their popular Etrian Odyssey series.
Nintendo eShop Adds Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth This Week
The company announced Etrian Odyssey And Mystery Dungeon, an upcoming 3DS title combining the two venerable franchises for the first time. The new title will combine the exploratory and mapping RPG nature of EO with the Rogue-like gameplay of Mystery Dungeon. The brief glimpses we get of the gameplay in action makes it appear like they may have gotten it down fairly well.
Etrian Odyssey And Mystery Dungeon will be released in Japan on March 5 next year. Watch the trailer here.

But of bigger news to EO fans was the announcement of Etrian Odyssey V. The company revealed a new teaser trailer that was long on atmosphere and short on details, just the way we like it. It will mark the first official sequel in the dungeon-crawler series since Legends of the Titan was released in 2013.
I have no idea what they're saying, but the words they're listing, such as 'Fountainhead', 'Consequence' and 'Reason of the World' all evoke a tingling in one's spine. Set over a flaming rune, it creates quite the striking image.
The company also recently launched two new sites for each game, both of which are fairly spare with content. Etrian Odyssey And Mystery Dungeon, and Etrian Odyssey V. Ygdrassil, the game's iconic world tree, is featured heavily in the one for V. No release date was announced.
