Super Smash Bros for 3DS Patch Released, But What Exactly Does It Do?

This week, there are really only two games that are on anybody's mind. The first is obviously Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. The next great party brawler featuring characters from all across Nintendo's expansive library come together. The level of detail is surpassed only by the dedication of you, the fans. Every minor update and tweak to a character is poured over endlessly, debated and criticized. Expect to lose a significant amount of your life to mastering this game. We've already lost one good writer to its lure. $59.99 everywhere.

You've been looking for a reason to buy a Wii U. You have Mario Kart, Hyrule Warriors, Bayonetta 2 and now Smash Bros.? Get on it already!

The Banner Saga Marches Onto Android Devices

Also coming out tomorrow is the highly anticipated release of Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby, the 3DS remake of the GBA title Pokemon Sapphire and Ruby. Updated graphics, new Pokemon and For the first time, the two Legendary Pokémon Groudon and Kyogre will undergo powerful transformations that rock the very region to its core as they become Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. These Primal Reversions take the Legendary Pokémon back to their primal forms and grant each of them commanding looks and moves.

Each version is on sale tomorrow, November 21 for $39.99. Several stores are holding a midnight launch event, which is sure to be some kind of wonderful. Both Sapphire and Ruby will sell for $39.99 on the 3DS eShop. You can also head over to Best Buy or Amazon and purchase the exclusive Pokemon Dual Pack featuring both titles.

Okay, so those are the games you're going to buy. But there are a few brave companies out there who are willing to jump in the ring and be the Little Mac to these Mike Tyson's.

Watch_Dogs - the Wii U version of the best-selling Ubisoft hacking game is out now. Watch_Dogs takes advantage of the Wii U hardware with a detailed and interactive map of Chicago displayed on the Wii U GamePad controller, as well as off-TV play, letting gamers continue playing Watch_Dogs solely on the GamePad. It's certainly guaranteed to not be as buggy as that other Ubisoft title. $59.99 on the eShop.

The week's Wii U Virtual Console title is DK: King of Swing. The GBA title finds a new home. Grab, climb, and swing on pegs as you charge and bash through enemies that block your way. Collect bananas and Crystal Coconuts in the five worlds of Adventure mode, or play some puzzling levels in Single-player Jungle Jam mode. $6.99!

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, the 3DS Etrian Odyssey-esque adventure title set in the best-selling Persona universe is out on November 25. The game features a world-bending storyline with characters from both Persona 3 and Persona 4. There's even a fancy new 3DS bundle.

Also out this week! A whole bunch of movie tie-ins.

Snake Den - the next iteration of the classic game Snake, $3.99 for the Wii U
Alphadia Genesis
 - a new turn based JRPG for the Wii U is available for $14.99 on the eShop
ZaciSa's Last Stand - the free demo version is now available. It is a 2D space based tower defense game featuring a unique hand-drawn style. Think indie Asteroids. The full version goes for $1.99.
Battleminer - a handheld Minecraft-like building title that has you squaring (or perhaps 'boxing'?) off against giant ants who are looking to ruin your stuff. $9.99
Fishdom H20: A Hidden Odyssey - capture fish to win the Best Aquarium Award in this 3DS title. Now priced at $3.99.
