Our fair and burly friend grants 5 armor to your hero as her Battlecry. Considering she costs 6 and is a 5/5 creature, she is absolutely no joke for the middle of the game and can come in handy if you find yourself in need of a little relief playing defense the whole time. Armor, which is effectively a second health meter, is a strong attribute to have. Enemy offense has to get through it each turn before it can begin to actually hurt you. Add in a creature who can deal out as much as she can take and you have the workings of a solid finisher.
It's good to have big guys in there and while she's not the biggest, Shieldmaiden could definitely come in handy from time to time.
The current vote is for what looks like a new Draenei character card and a walking Elemental of some sort, neither goblin nor gnome. We'll find out on November 17.
