Assassin's Creed Unity PC Patch Details: Update Fixes Small Graphical Bugs, Ubisoft Releases List Of Known Xbox One, PS4, PC Issues

The Latest Assassin's Creed Unity Patch For PC Fixes Some Graphics Issues, But Otherwise Doesn't Do A Whole Lot

Ubisoft has announced a new patch for PC players of Assassin's Creed Unity. It takes care of a few graphical bugs but leaves many of the players' most requested fixes largely untouched. The developer did, however, release a list of known issues that each platform has with the game and the status of each issue: if it has been resolved, if it has been fixed or if a temporary workaround has been discovered for the problem.

The new PC patch allows cinematic cutscenes to look better on less powerful PCs, and it fixes an issue that the game was having with some Nvidia SLI and AMD CrossFire graphics card setups. Beyond that, the patch takes care of a few minor graphics issues and one issue that was affecting co-op play. The full patch notes can be found over here.

To let users know that they were keeping their most pressing issues in mind, Ubisoft also released a checklist of known Unity issues on all three platforms. You can find this list over on the game's forums. The list contains most of the issues that players have been repeatedly bringing up, including frame rate issues, Arno clipping through the ground, co-op crashes, inescapable hay carts and other graphics problems.

The checklist goes over each problem, noting whether it's been fixed (like Initiates connectivity) or whether a fix is in-progress (most items on the list). The post even notes when temporary workarounds have been found that players can try out for themselves while patches are still in development. For example, going offline is a way to try to beef up your frame rate when you're playing single player, Ubisoft suggests.

Ubisoft also reiterated that the game did come with a Day One patch that included a horde of bug fixes. If you haven't connected your system to the Internet yet, make sure you do so to get all of the benefits of the Day One patch. The full Day One patch notes can be found here.

Assassin's Creed Unity is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
