Polyphony Digital announced today that all Gran Turismo 6 players will be getting a free update at the end of the month that adds a new drivable car: the BMW M4 M Performance Safety Car.
The Bioshock Infinite Complete Edition Is Now Available On Xbox 360 And PS3
The announcement coincides with the safety car's North American premiere at the 2014 SEMA auto show that kicked off today in Las Vegas. Showgoers will even be able to test drive the virtual version of the car in Gran Turismo 6 after seeing the real thing in person.
The real-life version of the coupe makes liberal use of carbon fiber throughout the body and includes a titanium exhaust system. In Gran Turismo, the digital reproduction should be more than capable of helping you set some course records on your track of choice.
Skylanders Will Invade This Year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
Gran Turismo 6 is quickly approaching its first birthday, having been released as a PlayStation 3 exclusive back in December 2013. The developers have tried to keep the game fresh as much as possible since then, however, with free updates that often include new cars, much like the update coming later this month. In fact, the original BMW M4, the base car of the M Performance Safety Car coming in this next update, was one of the vehicles previously added into the game as a free update.
The most recent free content added into the game was a new track, Sierra, that was introduced back in mid-September.
