With yesterday's release of the Nexus 9, the latest Android mobile operating system, Android 5.0 Lollipop, is officially in the wild. Non-Nexus Android devices will slowly receive the update as it rolls out among the different smartphone manufacturers, and now HTC One owners know their place in the timeline.

HTC tweeted out late yesterday (thanks, 9to5Google) that the Android update will be coming to the HTC One M8 and M7 within 90 days.
The biggest change in the updated Android software is the introduction of increased connectivity among other Android devices. With many Android tablets and now Android Wear smartwatches out on the market, users with more than one Android device will enjoy more interconnectivity than ever thanks to Lollipop.

With Lollipop, an Android user can be listening to music or browsing the Internet on his Android tablet then move seamlessly to his phone. He'll be able to pick up right where he left off, with the same song or web page ready to go. Android 5.0 Lollipop is also introducing better battery saving programs, allowing Android users to get more life out of a single charge. Finally, Lollipop will be introducing a couple of new security features, so privacy-minded users will be able to make sure that their tablet or phone responds only to them.
HTC also noted that owners of the company's other Android devices will be getting news about their update timeline in the near future.
