Slightly Mad Studios has released a video showing off the playable McLaren F1 car for its massively multiplayer online racing title World of Speed.
Destiny Xur Location And Items For October 24 And 25
World of Speed will be a free-to-play title, launching into closed beta on PC later this year. In the game, players compete for the control of areas in teams, racing with one another to help their side win over another group. There is a free for all format with no rules and open, destructible environments, and it's visually quite impressive.
The McLaren F1 is one of the vehicles you'll be able to take on the road against opponents, and the footage below gives you a good, shiny look at it. The video also provides key stats about the car, including its origin, production run, and speed statistics. Its top speed is 386 km/h (239 mph) so, you know, it goes pretty fast.

Slightly Mad Studios is also developing another racing title, Project Cars. The game (which looks even more realistic) is uniquely funded and produced by community support, and should be an interesting game to keep an eye on. World of Speed is different from a lot of racing titles as well (though The Crew and Driveclub are both vying for control of the always-online multiplayer racing space on console), and its free-to-play format and interesting gameplay sound good on paper. You can sign up for the beta on the official website.
