The newest trailer for Assassin's Creed Unity introduces fans to the fine details of the city of Paris, including Arno's newly revealed base of operations, the Café Theatre.
Meet The Assassin Brotherhood You'll Have To Take Down In Assassin's Creed Rogue
Edward Kenway had his own private island. Ezio had his own private village. Arno's base may not be as glamorous as those of his predecessors, but at least it's centrally located in the city. The Café Theatre is where Arno keeps all of his gear, and much like in previous games, it looks like he'll be able to slowly renovate it to turn it into a profitable business – or at least a nice place to hang-out.
The cafe also comes with a closet for all of Arno's different robes. The trailer was kind enough to use this setting to passively let us know that outfits from all four previous Assassin protagonists – Altaïr, Ezio, Connor and Edward – will be available in Assassin's Creed Unity. You can see all four outfits in the trailer.
Unity Is Making Its UK Hands-On Debut At London Comic Con
The rest of the trailer is mostly a rehash of information we've already known about Unity's city of Paris. Ubisoft's level design team look to have outdone themselves with a city that feels as alive as the game's main characters. Comprising seven unique districts, each with distinct building styles and NPC behavior, Paris is shaping up to be a truly next-gen setting with hours upon hours of various side content.
Some of the side content takes the form of murder mysteries. Arno will come across a dead body and then have the ability to pick up clues related to that death at his own pace. Special melee weapons are given out as rewards for completing those missions. Assassins seeking side content action can also go after some sweet loot with heist missions. These missions that can be done in co-op mode have players moving through randomly generated guarded areas to get to a treasure chest. Tread lightly, though. Getting detected lowers the value of what's in the chest.
Assassin's Creed Unity is set to hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 11.
