Back in the summer, Samsung and Barnes & Noble teamed up to release the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook, a tablet with the power of Samsung's hardware and the readability of a Nook's specialized software. Apparently this team isn't done working together, as Barnes & Noble announced yesterday a new 10.1-inch model of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook, which is in stores now.

The new Nook sports all of the specs you'd get with a standard Galaxy Tab 4. With a 1.3-megapixel camera in the front and a 3-megapixel one on the rear, it's not setting any photography records, but it's more camera power than you get with a standard book. The models start with 16 GB of storage, which is plenty of room to cram in all your favorite novels and book series.
The Nook store is another of the device's strengths. The digital store is any literary nut's dream, boasting more than 3 million books, more than 9,000 children's books (some of which are even interactive) and the huge magazine and newspaper selection of the Nook Newsstand. The store also includes collections of comic books, graphic novels, cook books and art books, along with Nook Video's lineup of movies and TV shows. Navigating through all this content is made easier by curation channels and a recommendation system.

The 10.1-inch tablet comes with an update to the Nook software that sports a cleaned up user interface. This update will make its way to the 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook next month.
“With the launch of the new large screen Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook, we have a fantastic lineup of devices for our customers to choose from as we head into the holiday gifting season,” said Barnes & Noble CEO Michael P. Huseby in a release.
