Starro, the voice in the wilderness, the harbinger of harmony is coming to Infinite Crisis, the forthcoming DC Comics MOBA from Turbine.
Stargirl Bursts Onto Infinite Crisis
The starfish shaped alien being first made landfall here in earth during the Silver Age. It, as it likes to be called, is a horrifying Elder God-esque being with supreme mind control powers. The creature attempted to enslave earth by asexually spawning millions of tiny spores of itself, which could take control of any being it latched onto.
Now obviously that skill is just a wee bit overpowered for a MOBA game, but the spirit of Starro's mental prowess remains. The character works best as supreme crowd control. He utilizes a Parasite ability which, when is attached to an enemy, increases the damage that unit receives from all sources. Boosting Will and damaging the foe with Starro can increase the duration of the Parasite. Should an opponent fall to Starro, that enemy will be resurrected as a minion and under the player's direct control.
Five Nights At Freddy's Sequel Already In The Works
If you enslave a Champion, they will expire upon respawn. Starro only has access to three Parasite charges at a time.
Oh, you want more? Well, you can also mind control another player's Champion, wherein said champion will mimic your moves for a short duration and then gain a Parasite for his or her troubles. It is an effective skill for removing a dangerous opponent from a crowd to give your team time to regroup or retreat.
The video also offers a lot of tips and tricks for best playing Starro, who seems like he could be a particularly tricky Champion to command. Check it out below and be sure to sign up for the beta.
We hope the recent turmoil at Turbine will not keep Infinite Crisis from hitting the shelves. And we certainly wish the laid off employees the best of luck in their searches.
