Now this is the positively spooktacular update we've been waiting for from Clash of Clans. The Halloween update is nigh upon us and it is trick or trap at Supercell's headquarters.

The latest sneak peek from the Supercell staffers is a new limited base defense: the Skeleton Trap! From the official forum post by Anoushka, "Ambush and distract your enemies with a small group of Skeleton troops. They might be short-lived, but will certainly get some attention. Targets air or ground troops - your choice! Available at Town Hall 8 and can be upgraded to deploy more skeletons at once."
The Skeleton Trap joins the Bomb, Big Bomb, Spring Trap, Air Bomb and Seeking Air Mine in your arsenal of base defenses. Glad they are allowing the new trap to attack both air and land, depending on your own preferences. I was worried they might release the Pumpkin Bomb again and while that's cool and all, it's not a clowncar-esque coffin filled with the desiccated remains of the dead. Now that's Halloween, my friends.
