One of the small complaints about Clash of Clans, Supercell's popular mobile social game, is that the 'social' part is largely dependent on chance. Outside of joining a clan that features nothing but your friends, how do you know that a clan is right for you? What if your clanmates are nine hours ahead of you and thus, you can never really coordinate anything with them?
Gem Boosting Gets A Boost In Clash Of Clans
Supercell has heard your cries for a little more variety in finding a clan. The new Halloween update will do away with the 'join whichever clan offers you a spot first' and allow for a little more customization that can fit best with your playstyle. Schedules can be a tricky thing; a lot of people play late at night or during quick bathroom breaks. According to Anoushka in the Halloween update sneak peek forum post, you can now search clans by national or international. One would hope that maybe some time zone customization would come at a later date.
If you're like me and enjoy the passive, building aspects of Clash of Clans, you can search by frequency of Clan Wars, too. Additionally, you can now search by minimum clan points and of course, member number, because sometimes you don't want to be the only other guy in a clan; but you also don't want to be overwhelmed and left behind because there are just too damn many.
The Forest Continues To Update On Regular Basis, And Is Still Fabulous
And you no longer have to know the name of the clan you're searching for! "Looking for a clan that fits your needs? Use the same search parameters above, even without specifying a clan name." Huzzah.
For clan leaders, your clan description can now be longer, too.
