Mobile developers GungHo Online and Rovio Entertainment have announced a dual collaboration between GungHo's popular puzzle RPG Puzzle and Dragons and Rovio's RPG Angry Birds Epic that will start next week and run for two whole weeks.
PaD Is Celebrating Its 5 Million North American Downloads With New Events
The collaboration is the second one of its kind between the two smash mobile games. In the first, PaD players were able to capture the members of the original, iconic Angry Birds cast and train them up to join their dungeon-crawling team of monsters. Now, the collab is focusing on Rovio's relatively new Angry Birds Epic, and RPG-style game based on the ubiquitous franchise.
In the upcoming collaboration, PaD players will have access to two dungeons, one in which players can capture the original Angry Birds characters and one in which players can fight and obtain the fantasy-inspired models from Angry Birds Epic. The original Angry Birds characters will also be upgraded with new Awoken skills for players to unlock.
This collaboration goes both ways, though. In Angry Birds Epic, players will have the opportunity to enter a new dungeon filled with Puzzle and Dragons monsters like Tamadra and Horus.
The Angry Birds Epic X Puzzle and Dragons collab will begin Monday, October 20, and run for two weeks. Both Angry Birds Epic and Puzzle and Dragons are free to play for iOS, Android and Amazon devices.
