The Bandai Namco Tekken 7 playtests are happening this weekend, and you'll probably see more and more lucky Banapass holders putting footage up on YouTube, but enjoy your first look at a Bryant vs. Kazuya match right here! Plus, a pretty big part of the line-up is revealed, including new fighter Claudio.
Tekken 7 Won't Be Cheap, Harada Says
Thanks to Avoiding The Puddle, who've got some boots on the ground at the double Bandai Namco events in Japan, we now got a more comprehensive look at the latest Tekken installment than we've had so far. Confirmed fighters for Tekken 7 are Kazuya, Heihachi, Lars, Asuka, Lili, Alisa, Paul, Law, Xiaoyu, King, Dragunov, Bryan, Leo, Feng, Steve, and Hwoarang. That's a hell of a line-up!
Click here for the entire introductory PDF for the event. It's in Japanese, so you may not understand much, but it does offer you a pretty sweet look at the game beyond the SDCC trailer we've had so far. Thanks to the ATP translation, we now know there is such a mechanic as Rage Arts. If your life bar drops under a certain level, you will go into Rage Mode, which in turn gives you access to Rage Arts, a powerful set of desperation-induced moves that can be combo'd together and utilized in a comeback victory. This is gonna piss people off.

Power Crushes are another new thing: these powerful attacks that come with no restrictions form chains that are unbreakable by damage suffered during them BUT with a caveat - you do take all the damage you get during them. So yeah, high damage output while still vulnerable to attacks!
Who's this Claudio? We don't know about his fighting style or background yet, but marvel at his design:

Tekken 7 is scheduled for a 2015 release to arcades and PS4. The Unreal 4 Engine makes it a proper candidate for PC release, but reports are sketchy on this.
