The Assassin's Creed YouTube channel is back with another developer Q-and-A, this time focusing on last-gen game Rogue. The video gives a couple of new details about Templar protagonist Shay Cormac before teasing the reveal of big new information for next week.
Assassin's Creed Rogue PC Version Likely Based On This Evidence
The video mentions that one of Shay's weapon options will be dual wielding blades, much like Edward Kenway's dual swords in Black Flag. With Shay, players will be able to fight off enemies with a sword in one hand and a short dagger in the other. The dual wielding mechanic is limited to this sword/dagger combo, but it should provide Shay with a slick new fighting style that will be fun to watch for series veterans.
The video also confirmed that Shay will have access to Eagle Vision, the signature tool of Assassins. Further, though, they showed how Shay uses Eagle Vision to take down enemy Assassins. As players have seen throughout the series, Assassins are masters of moving around unnoticed. Shay will need all the help he can get to flush them out, and it looks like Eagle Vision will play a central role in fulfilling his duties as the Assassin Hunter.
What Assassin's Creed Rogue's Achievements, Released This Week, Can Tell Us About The Game
Finally, the video teased the coming of new information this week, probably regarding Shay's hideout or base of operations. This could mean we'll get to see the land or building that Shay can renovate, as seen in this week's leaked achievements for the game. It could also mean we'll get a look at Shay's Templar allies as we're introduced to the Templar base.
Assassin's Creed Rogue will be coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 systems on November 11.
