The good folks over at Xbox Achievements have published the full list of achievements for Ubisoft's upcoming Assassin's Creed Rogue, and we can actually learn quite a bit about the game from studying them.
Rogue Is Likely Coming To PC, Judging By These Two New Leaks
Capturing outposts is not a new concept to Assassin's Creed players. Ezio captured Templar towers; Connor and Edward captured forts. Shay, however, looks like he has a lot of capturing to do. There are three different achievements for capturing Gang HQs, forts and settlements. He also has plenty of locations and objects he can upgrade, a recurring Assassin's Creed mechanic since Ezio first upgraded Monteriggioni in Assassin's Creed II. Shay will be able to upgrade his ship, the Morrigan, which will earn him an achievement upon completion. Shay will also be able to complete renovations on some sort of property, judging by the Property Tycoon achievement.
One remarkable achievement gives us a closer look on Rogue's present-day story. The Repairman achievement tells us that the game's present-day protagonist will be headed back to Abstergo Entertainment, the setting for Black Flag's modern storyline.
Rogue Looks LIke It's Putting The Best Parts Of AC3 And Black Flag Into One Game
Some other notable pieces of information to glean from the achievement list is that Rogue will feature Legendary Ships, much like those in Black Flag. It's also good to point out that the No Page Unturned achievement, which has players completing a final glitched memory, is marked with a fleur-de-lis, a symbol of France and no doubt a nod toward the next-gen game Assassin's Creed Unity, which releases on the same day as Rogue. Ubisoft has said that Rogue would tie into Unity's storyline, and it looks like this final memory is where they're going to do it.
Most of the achievements are the typical "Complete Sequence X" and "Use A Certain Item To Kill Lots Of People" achievements, which aren't worth spending too much time on here. If you're interested in seeing the entire list of achievements, you can head over to Xbox Achievements.
Assassin's Creed Rogue will drop for PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 systems on November 11.
