Battlefield 4 Fall Patch Notes: Update Released Today, Game Finally Becomes Playable One Year After Release

Fall/Autumn Patch For Battlefield 4

Hyperbole ahoy! No offense intended to all the gamers out there in those Battlefield 4 arenas who've been racking up chains and headshots before all these fixes, but there are some definite improvements coming, starting today.

Battlefield Hardline's Release Date Shuffle Explained

The PC version update has already happened, with the PlayStation and Xbox ones scheduled later today. What's new? Well, for one the sights on your weapons will no longer be affected by the animation of your gun's recoil for close and medium range targets. Player movement is now almost identical to BF3 but with BF4 animation sets. Revives will be simplified with a more intuitive UI.

Damage on many weapons has been readjusted, both their maximum and minimum values. You'll be able to carry less grenades, and the time to resupply has been increased. Nearly all suppressed weapons have seen an increase in bullet velocity. Revolvers will have no more trigger delay. None of them!

Battlefield Hardline Will Have A Single Player Worth Playing (Seriously)

Do you like carbines and PDWs? Good news, friend! They now have a unique bullpup modifier that basically give the weapon unique improvement bonuses over their rifle-version counterparts.

For a Visceral-approved list of highlights, go check out their official blog. A full list of all the patch notes will be released once the update is live for all platforms, as producer David Sirland describes it as "fairly massive".
