Verizon FiOS – the company's fiber-optic TV, phone and Internet service – announced that they would be picking up new-age music TV station Revolt in October.

Revolt was launched just one year ago and is owned by none other than Puff Daddy P. Diddy Diddy Sean Combs himself. It was founded on the principle of providing an actual music television channel, which is useful now that MTV has forgotten what the M stands for. Revolt broadcasts music videos, live performances and other pieces of music news. It also ties heavily with social media, in theory letting viewers have some level of say in how the channel chooses what to broadcast.
Revolt broadcasts 24/7 and is available to watch both through select TV providers and through the Revolt mobile app on both iOS and Android.
"Revolt is a crowd-pleasing addition to the FiOS TV lineup," said Terry Denson, Verizon's vice president for content acquisition and strategy, in a release. "As we continue to add or renew channels in a way that reflects customers' actual viewing patterns, we are pleased to welcome Revolt into the homes of our customers, and we are excited to see their response to REVOLT's fresh take on music programming."
Revolt started out as part of Comcast's network of stations then moved onto other TV providers, some of them big names like Time Warner. Revolt has already expanded into a film production company, Revolt Films, which was one of the production labels behind 2012 crime drama Lawless and documentary Ibiza.
