Secrets and mysteries, that's what JJ Abrams is good at! Besides not (officially) knowing anything of Star Wars: Episode VII's plot and being in the dark on any of the characters' names (on the record), we're even unaware (on paper) of the general state of the galaxy 30 years after Return of the Jedi. But perhaps some leaked concept art could lead our imaginations astray...
NYCC 2014: Legend Of Korra And TMNT Panels Will Have Main Actors, Signing Opportunities
Thanks to Indie Revolver we got a look at some sweet concept art, two good looks at a new kind of stormtrooper that looks like something out of BioWare's Old Republic games. Fans and reporters alike have surmised that these could be the first glimpses at the villain's (whoever s/he may be) elite guards, much like the red-robed Emperor's Guards in Return of the Jedi and the blue-robed Chancellor's Guards in the prequels. Both those guys did exactly squat but standing around a bit so here's hoping we'll actually get some action to go with their cool chrome-dome look.
Furthermore, there's also our first ever look at an action scene - at the concept stage, of course - between a Jedi and Sith. Well, we assume. Rumors have been swirling that the galaxy has become a less black-and-white place now, so who knows what is going on. That is the Millennium Falcon in the background, though, and it appears to be downed or taking off or... something that warrants dry ice!
Is A Massive Battle In The Cards For Episode VII?
What do you think of these sweet new glimpses into a long time ahead in that galaxy far, far away? Star Wars: Episode VII will be released on December 18, 2015.
