Bethesda's upcoming horror survival title The Evil Within has officially gone gold and shipped out for manufacturing. To celebrate the completion of the launch version of the game, Bethesda also posted the PC system requirements for the game once it launches in October.

Bethesda notes that these system specs are recommendations for what they consider to be the game's optimum experience. They don't give any minimum specs, so if your machine doesn't quite meet their standards, you still might be able to run the game. It just might not be as pretty as it could be. The system recommendations per Bethesda's blog are as follows:
- - 64-bit Windows 7/Windows 8
- - i7 with four plus cores
- - 4 GBs RAM
- - 50 GB of hard drive space
- - GeForce GTX 670 or equivalent with 4GBs of VRAM
- - High Speed Internet Connection
- - Steam account and activation

Bethesda also noted that PC owners will need 50 GB of space to install the game, but once the game is finished installing, it'll only take up around 40 GB. For console owners who are looking for a digital copy of the game, The Evil Within will take up the same amount of space on a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One hard drive that it does on a PC. Last-gen console owners get a little bit of a break. Install sizes for them round out to only 7 GB of space, a testament to how much more goes into the next-gen versions.
The Evil Within is set to drop for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC systems on October 14.
