Dragon Age games have always had a very particular home base for their players and their companions. From the humble tent camp in Origins to the Kirkwall hovel that was later upgraded to a mansion in Dragon Age 2, your player base of operations has always been a reflection of your player character. Join us as we hear some first official details on the Inquisitor's pad, also known as the Skyhold.
Dragon Age: Inquisition's Co-Op Will Differ From Mass Effect 3's How? Click To Find Out
The Skyhold does not start out as a fancy fortress full of expensive murals and heraldry emblazoned on every wall. Rather, it is a near-ruin that you must fix up by spending your own resources on it or festooning it with baubles and artefacts you find on your quests out in the world, so says Cameron Lee over at the official Dragon Age: Inquisition website.
The Skyhold will also be a place to converse with NPCs, strengthen your alliances and upgrade your gear. Merchants, blacksmiths and other useful inhabitants of Thedas will be present at the keep. There is no word yet on whether or not everyone's favorite enchanter Sandal ("Enchantment!") will be appearing there, but come on... if he's going to appear anywhere, he's going to be at the player's base, right?
Dragon Age: Inquisition Will Have Zombie Unicorn Mounts
From the Skyhold you will be able to send out your lieutenants on various missions across the world (and, if you will, play those missions out in co-op multiplayer mode) and discuss with your party mates what the next step in your plans will be at the War Table, the main hub of decision making in game.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 18 for North America and November 21 for Europe.
