Unlike the bevy of information the audience received about the new iPhone 6 line throughout Apple's big reveal yesterday, there wasn't much talk about the Apple Watch's specs. This is understandable, considering the iPhone 6 is releasing in just over a week and the Apple Watch isn't expected until 2015. To a certain extent, the Apple Watch is probably still in development as Apple's crack team of engineers gets the product just the way they like it.
Still, people can be curious for some hard performance stats.

Battery life is a valid concern when discussing such a small device capable of doing a fair amount of computer work, and Apple seems to recognize this. According to the report, a source close to Apple said the Apple Watch's battery as it stands lasts "about a day," though Apple is working on improving that time. Officially, though, Apple is keeping quiet about the watch's performance.
All things considered, needing to recharge once every day seems to be the norm for this first generation of smartwatches. A big concern, though, is what happens over time when the battery starts to hold less and less of a charge. There's not much room to fall for a device with a starting battery life of one day, and having to worry about a smartwatch battery dying in the middle of the day doesn't seem like a desired feature.
Apple still has time, though, to see what improvements they can make to the watch's battery. It's expected to hit stores in 2015.
