Today, Apple CEO Tim Cook introduced the world to the iPhone 6 and the jumbo-sized iPhone 6 Plus.

Both phones will run on Apple's new mobile operating system, iOS 8, which Apple is of course calling "the world's most advanced mobile operating system."
"We simply set out to create the most natural experience," Apple claims on its website. "Each enhancement has a purpose. Every new feature deserves to be a new feature. Each function is more considered, each next step is more efficient. It all adds up to an even better experience--one that is pleasantly surprising at first and becomes utterly indispensable before you know it."
The new mobile operating system includes a redesigned Photos feature that brings your entire photo library to iCloud and lets you access your library from any Apple device (which, after the celebrity hacking scandal this month, might cause some uneasiness).
Messaging is also getting upgraded on iOS 8, which makes it much easier to send voice messages, video and images to your friends with just a few taps, as well as your location. The keyboard is getting smarter as well, with a better ability to predict your words, including an understanding that your tone can be different whether you are texting or emailing.
The new iOS 8 will be available as a free download on September 17.
