Before LBP 3 hits the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, SackBoy is taking a detour onto handheld devices with a new platform runner (think something like Bit.Trip Runner but about a thousand times more adorable). The game uses simple tap and swipe motions to guide SackBoy through LBP-inspired levels and away from the Negativitron chasing him.
Collectible stickers in the game reward players when full sets are completed. Some of these, Sony mentioned, are exclusive LittleBigPlanet 3 costumes that you will be able to claim once the game finally drops later this year. If the picture is anything to go by, these exclusive costumes will range from a Yeti to a football player to some kind of unicorn centaur.
Ascension Deck-Building Game Hits PS Vita
The game utilizes social scoreboards so you and your friends will always be able to try and one-up each other's high scores as you collect bubbles in the levels and spend them on performance-enhancing outfits and upgrades. Power-ups scattered throughout the level like Jet Packs, Shields, Magnets and Gliders will also help SackBoy in his quest to get as far away from the left side of the screen as possible.
If you're looking for something to tide you over until LBP 3's release or just want something goofy and simple for your kids to play so they're not disruptive at the airport, Run SackBoy! Run! will be coming free-to-play on PS Vita, iOS and Android in October.
