It looks like soon you'll be able to buy an iPhone with the long-rumored sapphire screen. When Apple pulls back the curtain on their iPhone 6 models next week, according to Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, there will be a version with a sapphire screen.

However, Munster believes Apple is not bringing the sapphire screen to all of its new line-up, which will probably include a flagship 5.5-inch phone and then a cheaper 4.7-inch phone. The Apple rumor mill believes CEO Tim Cook will reveal two phones just like he did last year with the iPhone 5S and the colorful iPhone 5C.
Cupertino is apparently testing how a sapphire screen will sell.

"We believe that Apple may upgrade the screen of the 64GB versions of the iPhone 6 to sapphire as an early market test to see consumer feedback for sapphire screen phones with the eventual intention of moving the whole product line to sapphire within 2 years (i.e., iPhone 7)," Munster told investors today. "We believe that the 64GB device could make up 30 percent of units if sapphire were an additional feature based on our prior survey work from the iPhone 5S launch, which suggests that 25 percent of buyers opt for the 64GB capacity."
Cook takes the stage next week on September 9, and will finally put to rest all the Apple iPhone 6 rumors that have buzzed around for the past year.
