Deep Silver At PAX Prime: Dead Island 2, Metro Redux, And Mystery Game From Saints Row Creators Coming To Seattle

Publisher Deep Silver will be hitting PAX Prime hard with hands-on demo time with their newest games and a Volition panel that's teasing an unidentified game.

Escape Dead Island Gets Release Date, Trailer

This weekend, PAX attendees will have the chance to play some new and upcoming releases from Deep Silver. Dead Island 2 will be making its hands-on American debut ahead of its planned 2015 release date. The series spin-off Escape Dead Island will also be available to play, marking the third-person survival game's global hands-on debut.

Deep Silver is also teasing an unannounced, surprise game that will make an appearance at their booth. This unidentified game might have something to do with Deep Silver's other PAX Prime event: a panel featuring Saints Row developer Volition. The panel will involve an hour of quizzes with Natalie Lander, the voice of Saints Row's Kinzie. The exciting part, however, comes at the end, when Volition will show off art and gameplay from an upcoming project of theirs. Could Saints Row be announcing a new installment of the series, one that takes the larger-than-life story onto the awesome power of new-gen consoles? Or is the presence of a Saints Row voice actor at the panel meant to throw everyone off the scent of a new Red Faction? Either way, we'll know by Friday what's next for this developer.

The Dead Island Film Is Not Dead Yet

Back at Deep Silver's booth, Metro Redux, the newly released Metro: Last Light bundle for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, will also be ready to play out on the floor. Metro Redux includes all of the DLC for Last Light and 2033, all running at 60fps on new-gen systems.

PAX Prime starts in Seattle on Friday and runs through Monday, September 1.
