A cooler just knocked the Pebble smartwatch from its pedestal as the most funded project ever on the popular crowdfunding site. A cooler that normally, you know, holds ice and chills your drinks while you are in the woods or on the beach or on an excruciatingly long road trip.
The Coolest Cooler, though, does more than that. The device has been working both the morning talk show circuit and the late night comedy shows--media that never paid much attention to the decidedly nerdy Pebble. The smartwatch was more of a hit with early adopters.
Almost 50,000 backers have given the Coolest crew over $10.5 million, and there are still more than two days left until the campaign stops. The Pebble, on the other hand, raised $10,266,845 during its stint on the Kickstarter.

What makes the Coolest Cooler so cool?
"Regular coolers are boring, break easily and are a hassle to haul around just to carry the ice," the Kickstarter notes. "The COOLEST cooler is 60 quarts of AWESOME packed with so much fun you'll look for excuses to get outside more often."
The Coolest includes a blender, Bluetooth speaker, USB charger, a cutting board and a bottle opener, for starters. Donate $185, and the Coolest Cooler can be yours-but you better hop to it within the next two days.
