Just in time for the premiere of the new Doctor, Microsoft has announced a new skin pack for Minecraft on Xbox 360 featuring characters from all 50 years of the BBC's sci-fi hit Doctor Who.

The new skin pack, which will launch in September for $2.99, features the likenesses of the 12th Doctor himself, Peter Capaldi, as well as his companion, Clara Oswald. The pack also contains skins for five other Doctors (though we don't know yet which Doctors will be shipped with Capaldi) and skins for all of their companions. Not to be left out, the show's most infamous villains, like the iconic Daleks, will be included in the skin pack alongside the protagonists.
New packs containing more characters will be announced as the show's newest season continues, each promising to contain at least six Doctors.

"We're constantly looking for new and innovative ways to bring Doctor Who content to our loyal fans," Rikesh Desai, Digital Entertainment and Games Director at BBC Worldwide UK, said in a statement. "Working collaboratively with Microsoft, we've created an exciting new product which will allow Doctor Who fans to create their own brand new adventures in the heart of the iconic world of Minecraft."
With 50 years of unique, bizarre characters to draw from, it's not difficult to imagine that Doctor Who as a franchise has plenty of material to fill a couple Minecraft skin packs. Even better, there are certainly enough loyal fans of both Minecraft and Doctor Who to love every minute of it.
