Sega PAX Prime Lineup: Sonic Boom, Alien: Isolation, Hatsune Miku Will Show In Seattle

Sonic Boom, Alien Franchises Among Sega's Heavy Hitters Coming To PAX

October and November are set to be big months for Sega with releases from three of their most popular franchises, and to make sure everyone is as excited as they are, these three series will all be available for preview at PAX Prime this weekend.

Crazy Taxi City Rush Hits Google Play

Sega is bringing the likes of Alien Isolation, two Sonic Boom games and the American version of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd to the show floor at PAX Prime to prepare for two months of game releases.

The first game the public will be getting its hands on is Alien: Isolation, which will launch Oct. 7 for Sony and Microsoft systems. Story-wise, the game is a sequel to Ridley Scott's original Alien –players will be controlling Ripley's daughter – and Isolation's moved focus toward stealth and survival is thematically akin to Scott's original as well. To celebrate the upcoming release, Sega is setting up a secluded container shaped like an Alien egg pod where PAX goers can play the game in eerie solitude. They'll also be streaming the experience to give passersby the benefit of the survival horror experience.

New Daughters of Mars Total War Rome II DLC Announced

Sega hasn't forgotten its de facto mascot, either.

In fact, Sega is showing off Sonic's new look with previews of both upcoming games from the Sonic Boom reboot. The folks at PAX will be treated to a first look at the multiplayer included in the Sonic Boom Wii U game, Rise of the Lyric. Fans will also get to see a new trailer for the reboot's upcoming 3DS title, Shattered Crystal. Like the Sonic Adventure series that came long before it, Sonic Boom lets players take control of several redesigned characters with different abilities and play styles. These games will both hit shelves in mid-November, but for longtime Sonic supporters eager to see more of the hedgehog's reimagining, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of what Sonic Boom has in store at PAX.

Finally, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd will be making its way to the PAX floor as well, complete with 40 total songs featuring new English lyrics. The rhythm game will launch for PS3 and Vita users November 18.
