Vine Update: New Version Supports Imported Video, Easier Editing

The New Vine Update Lets You Import Videos To Get More Creative With Your 6 Seconds

It's time to step up your Vine game. The app's latest update gives you more tools than ever to making your perfect 6-second masterpiece.

Vine Updates With Vine Messaging

In addition to being able to take Vines directly with your phone's cameras, the new update gives users the option to import videos – even slow-motion videos – that they have saved on their phone to use as material. This means you can now take a video of any length and cut it down to six seconds to send over Vine. You can even splice multiple imported videos together for the perfect loopable montage.

The update also provides Vine with a new selection of editing tools, available to use both with video shot in-app and video you've imported from elsewhere. One click of the scissors button grants you access to these features that include a mute button, a duplicate button and a button that allows you to preview your last clip and remove it if it's not to your liking. Also new are tools that help while shooting video. These include a focus lock that works on both cameras, a setting that shoots better video in low light and a "ghost mode" that helps users line up similar shots by showing the last frame captured. All of these tools are just a button click away from the preview screen.
