Bungie has released a launch trailer for Destiny full of action clips and dramatic cinematography, though we're still weeks out from the game's September 9 release date.
Skywind Mod Gameplay Video Shows Off Recreated Morrowind Regions, Skyrim-Style Menus And Map
The video combines the familiar (at least, to those who played the beta or watched the previous trailers) with the new, showing off locales and content not see in the alpha or beta periods. The narration aims to be mysterious and vague, as usual, so actual story elements are still more or less unknown.
From the beta, we gathered that a great evil is chasing something known as The Traveler--a sort of large, sentient planet--across the galaxy. It ended up on Earth, where only one great Human city remains. The beta doesn't do much more than introduce the evil hordes who have chased The Traveler to your planet, so the rest of what is to come remains a mystery. As Guardians, it's up to you and the other players to fight back the darkness (the traditional light vs dark theme a common one in Destiny).
Sony Can't Really Explain Selling 10 Million PS4 Units So Quickly
The beta gave players access to a limited amount of campaign content, limiting them mostly to Earth's Cosmodrome and The Tower hub world. The Moon content was unlocked for a very brief time, and several multiplayer maps in The Crucible were cycled around for the duration of the tests. Destiny launches on PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 September 9.
