EA has released the latest trailer for Syndicate, which will hit stores February 21, 2012. The company first opened up the co-op multiplayer demo version which can be downloaded via the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. Now EA is gearing up for the game's release and have made the latest video available for fans.
The game takes place in the future, year 2069. The world is dominated with corporate espionage and businesses taking the technology war into their own hands. Citizens are under control by large corporations which implanted microchips into each person's brain.
"With no government to question their intentions or actions, the three mega corporations - Eurocorp, Cayman Global, and Aspari - are at the forefront and Business is War," says EA.
The game is a first person shooter reboot from the 1993 version of Syndicate. It involves both action and strategic gameplay with a very similar concept to Deus Ex.
The trailer introduces us to several characters conversing about the technology created in trying to make the syndicates more human. Scenes of gunfire and gameplay footage follows as the trailer showcases the motto "Business is War." Hollywood stars Rosario Dawson and Brian Cox lend their voices as major characters in the game. Syndicate will be available for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
