The creator of the incredible mobile smash hit Flappy Birds Dong Nguyen has come back with an equally amazing new creation for all your mobile platforms called Swing Copters.
Dong Nguyen Says Flappy Bird Was A Fluke, Don't Quit Your Day Jobs
In Swing Copters, you are a little dude with a helicopter screw on his head. The player taps the screen to make the helicopter screw dude take off, after which he careens wildly to one side. It is then up to the player to... well, tap elsewhere to make the guy careen wildly to the other side.
As with Flappy Bird, the object of Swing Copters is to get your guy as far through a series of gates (this time horizontal, rather than Flappy Bird's vertical ones) as possible, while still avoiding the swinging hammers of doom that besiege your poor little chopper head guy.
Flappy Bird Returns With A Twist To Fire TV
Swing Copters is coming out on the App Store this week on Thursday August 21 as a freemium download, with nothing but a $0.99 in-app purchase possibility to remove the ads. Reportedly, these ads are so unobtrusive, however, that you might as well consider it a nice thank you tip to Dong Nguyen for making something you love(/hate?).
Is it just as hard as Dong Nguyen's previous effort? Please judge for yourself in the embedded video, courtesy of TouchArcade's Eli Hodapp:
