Tekken 7, the final chapter of the Mishima saga will have a musical score brought to life by none other than Akitaka Tohyama, veteran composer of the series.

Tekken 7 game director and all around big boss (not to mention Twitter aficionado extraordinaire) Katsuhiro Harada teased fans by saying he has heard snippets of Akitaka Tohyama's work on the long-awaited new instalment of the classic fighting game series. In Harada-san's words:

Tekken 7 Director Talks Scaling For Newbies And Veterans
Akitaka Tohyama is, of course, the composer of Tekken Tag Team Tournament 2, as well as Tekken 4, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection and Tekken 6: Bloodline Rescue. Fans will know what to expect from his pounding beats and atmospheric melodies. Will Tohyama-san deliver an epic soundtrack worthy of the final confrontation between Jin Kazama and the diabolical (or perhaps not so?) Heihachi?
