In Chris Roberts' upcoming space sim Star Citizen you'll be able to fly several types of Roberts Space Industries ships. Some real beauties among them, too - of which you can buy a few before release to support the design of more of them in game. But Star Citizen fans are a thirsty lot!
Starpoint Gemini 2 Undergoes Heavy Expansion
This Friday, Roberts' dev team unveiled the RSI Constellation Line-Up, which features the Taurus ($150), Andromeda ($225), Aquila ($275) and Phoenix ($350). These pre-order ships are meant to boost financial and artistic development of Star Citizen, basically so that the designers can put more time into making more ship for the actual game experience.
The site indeed promises that "[all] of these ships will be available for in-game credits in the final universe, and they are not required to start the game. The goal is to make additional ships available that give players a different experience rather than a particular advantage when the persistent universe launches."

Sales of the Phoenix will be limited to 5,000 copies - however, after selling nearly 600 copies already (resulting in a revenue of something close to $200,000), Roberts and his team may want to consider upping the supply of the luxurious star system explorer with fancy stylized interiors.
Now, these are definitely all very cool looking ships, but I can't help but wonder if some of these lovely people have not been hit with space madness like perhaps Steve Buscemi in Armageddon or Sam Neill in Event Horizon. Don't go too far down this rabbit hole, friends! Where you're going (to play Star Citizen) you'll definitely need eyes to see!
