The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS details will keep coming from Nintendo ahead of the staggered release of both versions, even after all the excitement from E3.
Powerful Super Smash Bros Weapon Daybreak Revealed
The title will be out for 3DS on October 3, as Nintendo announced at the gaming conference, and this holiday season on Wii U. A specific release date for the console version will likely be forthcoming as winter approaches, but Nintendo has plenty of time to make that announcement.
Several new characters and other details were revealed at E3 as expected, including the unveiling of Lady Palutena, Pac-man, the Mii Fighters and an appearance by Mr. Game & Watch, though he has not yet been confirmed as playable. Even after these major announcements, though, series director Masahiro Sakurai will continue to give us comparatively smaller details through the official site in the form of a daily picture update.

Today's post shows off two Pokemon who will be involved in the action, Xerneas and Victini. The two legendaries will change the battlefield pretty significantly with their powers--here's Sakurai's description:
"Victini and Xerneas are both support Pokémon. Victini's Victory Star boosts the attack of whoever throws the Poké Ball, and also prevents flinching. Xerneas's Geomancy increases the launch power of all fighters, but exceptionally raises it for whoever had the Poké Ball."
The two seem pretty influential, unlike Mew in the past (who just floats around and then departs). Keep checking back for more Super Smash Bros. news each day, where we'll hopefully see new character reveals or a Wii U release date.
