Zelda fans will be pleased to know that Tecmo Koei have just released the next in a long line of character videos for their upcoming Legend of Zelda inspired actioner, Hyrule Warriors. Today's spotlight falls on Sheik.
For Those About To Rock, Darunia Salutes You
The trailer begins with Sheik lulling us into complacency with a soothing medley she is playing with the Goddess Harp, which was originally seen briefly in Ocarina of Time, then later used to more effect in the Wii effort Skyward Sword. Do not be fooled, though. Sheik is a ninja through and through, and she quickly goes on to prove it.
Fans of quick, dextrous characters will love the gameplay of Sheik. She jumps, kicks, floats and then plays a pretty song. She also has the ability to summon water spouts and pillars of flame. The trailer takes place inside one of the many dungeons around Hyrule, and as such is filled with skeletons and Wizrobes. Sheik cares not for the undead and cuts a swath through them like none other.
WoW Tauren Female Gets A Makeover
Sheik joins fellow Ocarina alums Princess Ruto of the Zora and Darunia, the lord of the Gorons as playable characters. In the original game, Sheik was the alter ego of Princess Zelda (a Hyrulian Batman if you will), but in later incarnations, namely Smash Bros. has been her own separate entity. It will certainly give new meaning to the phrase 'quit hitting yourself' when the two inevitably square off at some point in the adventure.
Hyrule Warriors is nigh upon us! The game drops in Japan on August 14 and here in the States on September 26. Check out Sheik below.
