ArcheAge Player On Trial Takes Game Of Thrones Hodor Approach, Declared Not Guilty, Escapes In-Game Prison [SCREEN]

ArcheAge Alpha Player Motmot Gets Away With Murder In Hilarious Perversion Of In-Game Justice

Already-legendary player Motmot - the Hodor of the ArcheAge's alpha phase, some have have called him - has escaped sentencing in the game's halls of justice.

Design A Ship Sail And Win ArcheAge Founder Status

The official ArcheAge Reddit subforum reports on the exploits of Motmot, basically the world of Origin's in-game Hodor, the (near) mute Game of Thrones character who has won fandom's hearts with his Pokémon-like insistence on saying nothing but his own name.

In the world of ArcheAge, players can accumulate Crime Points by doing things like committing murder or stealing. If caught, sentencing can vary from minutes to several days in prison, resulting in reduced (or altered, if you will) player functionality and several debuffs. After serving your time, your Crime Points are brought back to zero, but you will have gained an Infamy Point. If you've accumulated 3,000 Infamy Points, you can join a Pirate Faction and start an "official" life of crime.

Good Guy Motmot, described on the subreddit as "the image of Justice", did not agree with his Guild's attempts at going pirate and racked up an Infamy Point score of 2,999 and let himself be caught to see how people would react.

Unsurprisingly, the bi-syllabic legend got off scot-free despite an impressive list of crimes and trespasses because of his popularity ("[H]e sits in trial chat all the time and just says his name", declares one Redditor). Check out a screenshot of the sentencing!
