ArcheAge, XL Games and Treon Worlds' latest MMO from the creator of Lineage and its sequel, will be going into its second closed beta at the end of this month.
First ArcheAge Beta Kicks Off With 1,000,000 Players
Are you excited for ArcheAge? With its player-run economy that its creators like to compare to EVE Online and its player-populated courts of law (which are crooked as 1930s Chicago's already), it certainly seems to be on its way to become a top contender in today's crowded MMO arena. Its first beta's servers were full up after 18 minutes! Watch out, Guild Wars 2!
The next closed beta, accessible for everyone who bought a Founder's Pack (from any of the three tiers, gold, silver or archem), will start on Wednesday July 30 at 10 a.m. PDT and will stay live until Monday August 4 at the same time. If you sign up as a beta tester right here, you might be one of the lucky ones and get randomly selected to join.
ArcheAge Juries Already Being Bribed By Players In Alpha
If you are, XL Games will drop you an e-mail before the July 30 (exact date not yet specified) to announce you are among those few who get to play spiritual Nuian or secretive Elves. The first closed beta went quite smoothly, with XL Games looking to reviewing systems like the use of labor while you're hunting and looting, labor regeneration rates for online and offline players, and the availability of Archeum, the world of Origin's premier currency.
ArcheAge is expected to go live this fall and will be free-to-play.
