The Marvel machine is ramping up for the release of its next big franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy, in about two weeks. WizKids Games, the creator and distributor of HeroClix is getting in on the action.
Guardians of the Galaxy HeroClix Details Revealed
The company released a new trailer showing off the HeroClix models of the five titular Guardians: Star Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket Raccoon and everyone's soon to be favorite walking talking tree (sorry, Treebeard), Groot.
There are two new sets, one based on the film and the other based on the original comic series. Damn if these figures aren't sexy. I don't even play and I just want to have em lining my wall. The full film set contains 24 new pieces, so you can recreate all the soon-to-be-epic battles you'll see in the movie. The set also includes two maps, the HeroClix core rulebook, the HeroClix Powers and Abilities card, and tokens - everything new and established players need to play.
World Of Warships Will Debut At Gamescom
Attendees at this week's San Diego Comic Con can stop by the WizKids area, booth #3145 to test out the new set and maybe pick up something a little special for yourself.
The comic based Guardians set will release sometime in August, presumably around August 13 and will feature 80 new figures that will be a welcome, and cosmic, line-up to your already huge HeroClix collection.
