Well- it's official. Alien Isolation may have the best pre-order bonus ever made. If you choose to put some money down for the game you will get two bonus downloadable missions that feature the original cast members from Ridley Scott's Alien recreating iconic scenes from the film.

Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley), Tom Skerritt (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker), and Ian Holm (Ash) will lend their voices and likenesses for two missions that let you recreate scenes from the movie.
"Working with the original cast has been an incredible experience," said Alistair Hope, Creative Lead on Alien: Isolation. "It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is their first appearance in an Alien video game. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience."

Sadly for Harry Dean Stanton fans, the first mission "Crew Expendable" will take place immediately after the death of his character (Brett). You can choose to play as one of the three remaining crewmembers- Ellen Ripley, Dallas or Parker, and explore the Nostromo from habitation deck down through engineering, coordinating your effort with Lambert and Ash to lure the Alien into the ship's airlock.
You get that mission for pre-ordering anywhere you choose, which will allow you to get a free upgrade to the Nostromo Edition of Alien Isolation.
If that isn't enough, if you pre-order at GameStop you will also get the second bonus mission, "Last Survivor", which picks up as Ripley tries to escape on the Narcissus after their plans to flush out the creature don't end well for Lambert and Parker. You'll have to make your way back down to activate the self-destruct sequence and run back to the Narcissus shuttle to escape. No word on if Jones will appear and be as meddling as he is in the film.
I mean- I can see what they're doing. It's obvious how they're preying on our nostalgia for the original film, which still holds up on one of the finest horror/scifi movies of all time.. but damn it, it's working. How incredible does this sound?
Alien: Isolation will be available on October 7, 2014, for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC. The game itself drew rave reviews from this year's E3, as it too offers a scary, solitary experience as you play Ridley's daughter dealing with one terrifying Alien, like her mother before her.
