‘Pokemon X’ And ‘Y’ Update: Nintendo Releases Fancy Pattern Vivillon As Milestone For 100 Million Trades Reached [VIDEO]

You’ve All Traded Hard Enough Kids, Time To Fancy Up Your Vivillon

In celebration of the 100,000,000th trade (yes, you read that very right) on the Pokemon X and Y servers, Nintendo is giving the Pokemon Vivillon a "fancy" pattern.

The Global Trade Station (or GTS) for Pokemon X and Y has recently registered a landmark number - they've hit the nine digits now, folks. And one hundred million trades (just spelling that out because whoa!) mean a special tread from the good people at Nintendo. What exactly can you expect?

Vivillon, a butterfly-like Pokemon you get through evolving Scatterbug through Spewpa into its final form, usually has geography-dependent patterns on its wing. Depending on where the actual player is from in the real world, Vivillon can have such marks on their wings as are designated "Icy Snow", "High Plains" and "Monsoon". The anniversary Vivillon's pattern is called "Fancy" and will be a global release.

To find out how you get your very own Fancy Pattern Vivillon exclusively designed by Iggy Azalea in collaboration with Charli XCX, check out the official site for more info. The GTS is obviously very thankful to players for reaching this epic and amazing milestone in mobile monster trading.

Does anyone else remember when there were 150 Pokemon, and it was a big thing that suddenly there was a 151st? Did anyone also think it was dumb that Mew was #151 since he was a natural though long thought extinct Pokemon and Mewtwo, the genetically engineered Frankenstein of a Pokemon, was #150? Surely it should be reversed! Come on!
