‘Dota 2’ The International Championship Offers 'Newcomers Broadcast', Will Be A Useful Guide To Noobz Following The Game Live

Defense Of The Noobs 2: DOTA 2 International Tournament Will Have A Special Newbie-Friendly Broadcast

Spouses and family members whose significant other or child has been ranting and raving about "BKBs", "tri-lanes" and "counter-picks" with a mad-eyed expression on their pale faces can now join in with Dota 2's Newcomer Broadcast of the International championship.

The International is held at Seattle's Key Arena from Friday 18 to Monday 21 July, with a grand prize of over $10,000,000 and $2.50 added for every copy of the Compendium (a little virtual booklet that lets you interact with the game itself) that is sold. Contribute to the prize money by doing so right here. This is actually a really great idea. I personally have given Dota 2 a couple of shots - most notably when Steam at one point just started handing out 17 free Dota 2 passes per user for some reason - but just couldn't get into it on a local level playing with my fiancée. It all felt so overwhelming!

Seeing professional players and fans interact, with a decent commentary provided by noob-friendly voices could win a lot of people who were at first daunted by this classic MOBA. The game's humor definitely shone through in the confused, frantic couple games I've played, so I'm personally quite on board with this initiative.

Besides the Newcomers broadcast, there will also be the No-Spoilers broadcast (only results of the previous day will be displayed) and the Multicast (to follow the several games going on at once during some days of the tournament). Go straight to the coverage right here!
